As we wrap up our 9th year of mind-blowing expeditions, we want to pause and say a huge thank you to our incredible partners and team. Your trust, support, and shared sense of adventure are what made this year not just successful, but genuinely fun.
At Dirty Dozen Expeditions, creating unforgettable experiences is what drives us, and we are already looking ahead to 2026 with anticipation and excitement. New destinations, fresh ideas, and some unique collaborations are on the way, all built around the same spirit of exploration and adventure that defines who we are and what we do.
TOP 5 MOMENTS OF 2025
1. We welcomed a record number of female tech divers onto our April Truk Lagoon expedition. Expedition Manager, Gill was joined by industry legend, Jill Heinerth, for a truly memorable trip.
2. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, and we were thrilled to launch a new SPLASH checklist study in partnership with Divers Alert Network. The data from this study should confirm what we already know: pre-dive checks save lives!
The Splash checklist has been a stable in our operations for about 5 years now, but as of September this year - every trip we do these tests are now collected digitally (and anonymously) into the cloud to DAN’s server. In a year or two we should have thousands of data points and will be able to share at a future diving conference.
3. Our Bikini season was one of the best yet, featuring stunning visibility on the outside and some awesome penetrations on the inside. Aron, with support from #teamdd, replaced hundreds of meters of line inside the Saratoga, protecting and stabilising routes on this world-class wreck for years to come.
4. Galapagos never fails to disappoint, and this season was no exception. Despite strong currents and challenging seas, the team spotted whale sharks, Mola mola, dolphins, and more hammerheads than they could count!
5. DEMA 2025 was really successful, and as we mentioned before a lot of new destinations and collaborations are in the works. So stay tuned for lots of new exciting adventures in the coming year!
