Dear Dirty Dozen Team Member,
With over 3000 hours in the water, we find ourselves at the conclusion of another Truk Lagoon season.
We understand the sacrifices many of you have made to achieve the means, the training, and reserving the time needed for such an adventure. We take your commitment very seriously and continue to strive towards helping you achieve your trip of a lifetime.
We want to thank all our customers from the bottom of our hearts for putting your trust in Dirty Dozen Expeditions.
Here are the group photos from all our trips of the season:
We had some fantastic special guests this season who provided a terrific value-add for our guests. Team members had the chance to dive with their mentors or heros while having top level support onboard our expedition vessel which we only fill to 75% for customer comfort.
VIDEOS AND PHOTOS
The media from our expedition members is starting to roll in. Last week we received an excellent video from #teamdd member Gavin Hulmston, who filmed this fun video of Truk, borrowing some of our drone stock footage for the intro.

Revered industry personality, Jason Meany, hosted an on location interview with guests of the "Dram Of Diving" trip to Truk Lagoon. Jason interviews both guests and crew in-depth to find out what it is that makes Truk Lagoon one of the most famous wreck diving destinations in the world.

JILL HEINERTH RETURNS FOR THIRD TRIP
We announced last week that Jill is indeed returning for a third time with us, and even though her next trip is not until 2025, over half of the trip is booked already. If you missed your last two chances to join Jill, NOW is your chance to come with her to Truk in 2025.
CLOSED CIRCUIT SAFETY STRATEGIES
Simon Pridemore had the following to say in his new article posted today: “I mentioned The Dirty Dozen Expeditions a couple of issues ago in relation to the Bikini Atoll live-aboard trips they run.
Their website includes something they call their knowledge base, which consists of a first-class, free-to-use library of papers on subjects connected with rebreather diving, technical diving, diving physiology, emergency procedures and accident analysis.
Just like Andy Davis, they have a commendable policy of making safety strategies available and accessible to all.
What really got my attention though was a Splash Checklist they have developed for the rebreather divers they take out, which their boat deck master or dive supervisor uses to confirm that a rebreather diver is ready to enter the water.”
TESTIMONIALS
We know picking the right team for a trip of a lifetime is essential. We have collected a LOT of testimonials from over the years and our last Truk Lagoon season - you can read them all HERE.
WELCOME GILL TO THE TEAM
As our business grows, we always strive to keep giving you the best customer service possible. Please meet our new Expedition Planner, Gillian Flaherty!
Gill learned to dive in her home country of Scotland in 2007, and quickly knew that her career lay in diving. Since then she has worked as a TDI, IANTD, and PADI Instructor in dive centres around the UK and Europe.
Now based in Cyprus, Gill has worked in the diving travel industry for several years and loves helping other divers discover new and unusual destinations to explore. When she’s not answering your questions and sending you emails, she will most likely be deep inside her local wreck or planning her next overseas adventure.
That’s all for this week. As always, we hope you have some great plans coming up this Sunday but don’t forget, if you are feeling lonely, then we are here to chat Dirty.
Best,
Aron Arngrímsson and the DDE Team
